Message sent from other applications using the "Send To" option get stuck in Outlook 2007 outbox.
I have a user using Windows XP SP3 who will type a document in Word 2007 and send it as email via his quick links bar. The message then shows up in the outbox, spinning, as if it were trying to send but never actually goes anywhere. This is an Exchange 2003 environment. As near as I can tell the problem occurs only when an email is generated by another application such as Adobe Reader or Microsoft Word/Excel. All other email goes out before and after the problem occurs. He receives email without an issue. It doesn't seem to matter what recipient or time of day either. The weird thing is, it does do it with consistency. Probably 85% get stuck this way and the rest send. I'm tearing my hair out trying to isolate it.

I believe you are using MAPI to connect to exchange . Can you check for any errors , on the server wheter the session is established between the client and exchange. Can you try reinstalling outlook if it is happneing on one machine

Hi I just care for your saying “it dies do it with consistency”. When does it work well? Do you check memory or task management when outlook get stuck ?
